Mango – Fruit of the Gods

The Mango tree is always green and grows to up to 45m in height. Its pink coloured blossom smells of lilies. Mango needs 3 to 6 months in order to mature after it has blossomed. The ripe fruits are up to 2 kg in weight, hang on long stalks and look like Christmas baubles. They display various shades of green, yellow and red.

Mango fruit has a thin, smooth skin. Under the skin, dependent on the maturity, there is soft to fibrous fruit pulp and a large flattened stone.

Mango is very aromatic and has a sweet taste.

The Mango was originally from India, where is was heralded the "food of the Gods"and was already in existence 4000 years ago. Mango is grown in many parts of the world today and is used in many ways.

Important information about our natural products from Asia

More and more products from Asia and India are being offered on the European Markets as so called high quality organic. Sadly however, what the documents and analyses states does not always conform to the values determined by the laboratories which also carry counter-analyses. There have already been product recalls due to excessive levels of heavy metals or pesticides. In another case, the alleged organic goods had to be re-declared as conventional due to excessive pollution.

This applies to us

Demanding customers must be able to rely on compliance with quality standards. Quality comes at a price.

  • Careful analysis by European laboratories
